As you know a theme in the first two seasons of this series has been the opening shots as avatars and banner images.
For Africa, I have the intro on VHS and changed it to DVD, but I still have a problem. The opening intro for Africa has very close up face shots. Not only that, but because it is a recorded intro it has the cbs logo in the corner which forced me to have to cut off even more of the face.
I need advice, should I still go with these intense face shots, or should I break the avatar theme?

Lol, well since you are asking Host, I think you should still go with the close up face shots. I love the avatar theme and would hate if you broke it up.

You could look up africa intro's on youtube and see if prnt scren will give you good shots.
But dont break the tradition, i love it!

I want to keep the traditions too, but it's very tough with the CBS logo. It would be a lot easier if Africa was out on DVD.
I was thinking of the possibility of skipping around with the seasons since this isn't exactly a replay game anyway. I could go to Pearl Islands next which is my personal favorite season and it would be easy to make avatars for it. But if I can find a way to make these avatars I'd like to go in order.

I like how you have them in order though. Lol, I haven't planned my pearl islands strategy! But I think Maralyn has a good idea, wat if you print screen the video. They have lots of intros and I'm sure they're good. I think it would be cool if you made them in order.

That's another problem  Youtube videos have lower quality but they don't have the rays. So I don't know which one to use. The ones with the biggest ray problems are Lindsey, Kim P, Diane, Tom, Ethan... any others? |

Kim P didn't look that bad, and I barely notice Ethans. Lex and Brandon aren't to good, but they are definately bareable. I love them, ;D

Diane's just happens to look that way, there's nothing I can do about that.
I re-did Lindsey and Tom, they look better (I'll upload them in a second)
I got closer shots of Lex/Brandon. They're still not great but it's the best possible.
