Congratulations to the ten of you! As you can tell from the changes around the board, you have merged into the Barramundi tribe. From now on, all challenges will be won by an individual, and everyone will go to Tribal Council.
However, there is one new complication you will need to think about when voting someone out. I hope you haven’t forgotten that there is one twist every season…
When I think about the real Australian Outback, I think about the first three backstabbings of Survivor History: Mitchell, Jerri and Amber. Mitchell, Jerri and Amber all were in the same alliances, and even as they were being picked off one by one they continued to trust the people who were backstabbing them.
Well, what if those who were backstabbed were given a warning from their fallen allies, and had a chance to recover?
From now on, starting with whoever is voted off next, the person voted off will give an immunity idol to one person of their choice for the next round only. This means there will be 2 immunities in play each round.
I must stress this, the idol is good for the next round only. If it is needed, it will be automatically played. Regardless of whether it is used or not, once the round is over, it expires.
And, there is one other interesting thing about these idols. No one will know who has it, not even the person it has been given too. The voted off player will simply private message their choice to me, and no one else will know who they have chosen.
After the votes are read, I will reveal whether the person with the most votes received an idol from the person previously voted out. If not, that person is voted out and you’ll never know who had that round’s idol. If they do have the idol, the votes cast against them will not count, and the person with the second highest amount of votes will leave the game.
This twist will continue throughout the rest of the game, until the final two.
This means the contestant who finished 4th will have a huge power, because they’ll be able to give immunity to one member of the final three and guarantee that person makes it to the finals…
How will this twist affect your gameplay? We shall soon find out…
